Biography
Adams originally worked as a schoolteacher and part-half-time model in Houston, Texas. Elysian by her mother, Adams turned to music & freed her number 1 album, Even as We are, around 1988. Per mid-1990s, Adams was a popular & easily-known performing artist, & around 1999 signed a major-label treat using Elektra Records, resulting around the total of successful albums.

Her foremost release in Elektra, Mountain High...Vale Great, won a 2000 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album, and its lone "Open My Heart" was the Top X R&B hit and won the 2000 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Song. Both years late, she won another Grammy for Right Contemporary Soul Gospel Album, this period for 2001's The Own experience. Additionally, Adams has received a Image Award for Outstanding Gospel Artist three times (within 2000, 2001, and 2002), and a 2001 Image Award for Outstanding Female Artist.

Personal Life
Inside 1997, Adams married previous NFL player Tim Crawford, though in 2005, Adams filed for divorcement.
